If you want to build a High Performing Staff for your business, then you first must define who you need to hire. I have a simple motto…you cannot have an “A” Team with “B” Players.

 

Then you might be thinking…well, can you define an “A” Player. That is the first question that you need to answer for your business. If you cannot answer that question, then you might hire B or C players.

 

Defining your “A” player is the FIRST STEP to building an “A” High Performing Staff. But note…this is not just defining the skills they must possess. There is much more to defining an “A” player. Here are some questions for you:

 

  Who do you love working with on a team? Who do you hate working with on a team?

 

  How do you know if a candidate is a “team player?”

 

  How do you know if a candidate will get along with the other staff in your business?

 

  Is this candidate a leader? Why does that matter?

 

  Who will train this candidate? How do you train?

 

  What is the candidate’s commitment to future courses, training and licensing?

 

  What are your business policies? How do these impact you and your business?

 

I could ask you over a hundred questions that can and will greatly impact your business but are possible “blind spots” for you. I have discovered these blind spots through my coaching with Financial Advisors and their team. This work has allowed me to help you AVOID these common pitfalls that rob you of time, money, and enjoyment.
